Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding the cases. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. Then she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She co-hosted several of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The host of the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
